Designer Dolly Rulon-Miller Buswell, owner of Unusual Interiors and an Allied Practitioner / Member of the American Society of Interior Design brings extraordinary professional resources and commitment to her work. She has over 27 years of experience in interior design, both residential and commercial.
Twice honored with the coveted award of excellence for residential design from Design Systems Inc. Dolly is listed in the French County book by Pierre Deux and in Who’s Who in Interior Design.
Notable corporate projects include the Wintergreen Resort, The Boars Head Inn, corporate retreats for Joseph E Seagram and Sons and set design for Universal Pictures.
Its her goal to balance the innovative with the classic to create an environment that is original, but with timeless charm. She tries to honor the past while celebrating the future.

Dolly offers a fine art and antique buying service that assures you will receive timeless quality and value. They will supervise all installations of works of art and other decorative fixtures.

Client service and attention to detail are on the top of Dolly’s list. She and her staff will work with you and your long term plans for design and renovation. They can analyze your budget, create floor plans, renderings, source materials, coordinate purchases and expedite orders.
Once you decide how they can help you, Unusual Interiors will develop a letter of mutual understanding to serve as a guide for the work to be done. From this a final letter of agreement will evolve for your approval and signature. All charges for particular services will be carefully explained for your understanding and I approval.
